Get Started: Join the Climate Action Hub's Network of Members

Follow the steps below to get started registering as your business/enterprise's company account (steps 1, 2, 3 & 4) or join as an individual member (steps 1, 5 & 6). Registering opens doors - enabling you to benefit from free carbon fundamentals networking webinars series devised for small and medium enterprises across Scotland the wider UK. Access the free 12 step short e-learning modules to boost your knowledge even further!

1. Register Your Business / Enterprise as a free Member here

Head to sign up, complete a quick 2 minute quick Scottish Business Climate Collaboration Registration Form when prompted.

When you register your business/enterprise to become a member and new user of the Climate Action Hub, our system will notify you if we already have an existing company/organisation account associated with your email domain.

If your company/organisation is already regsitered, you will be invited to join your colleagues in your organisation’s existing account and your SBCC company will have your own SBCC administrator who will then be notified to join you to your organisation’s account and dashboard to connect your colleagues learning. You will still be able to access all the Climate Action Hub’s resources whilst you wait for your administrator to approve you.

If your company/organisation does not already hold an account, as the first registered user you will become your company’s account ‘Owner’ (our main contact) giving you administrative permissions on your organisation account and the ability to to connect your colleagues together onto your bespoke Organisation/Company dashboard to track your learning and progress as a team.

2. Log in as a company account owner – carbon capability assessment

Now that you have signed up, log in and head to your dashboard to start your company/organisation’s carbon reduction journey:

  • Click on ‘take me to my company dashboard’ which you can find on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Begin by completing your Company/Organisation Carbon Capability Assessment to understand your current level of maturity in taking action on carbon and generate a bespoke Company/Organisation Action Plan which will contain actions and resources to support your organisation to get to the next level of carbon capability maturity. Step by step you will be able to make significant inroads and demonstrate your achievements to boost your business potential and growth.

3. Log in as a company account owner – learning pathway

Then, head to the ‘Our Learning Pathways’ section at the bottom of your company/organisation dashboard and ‘view available pathways’ to enrol in the Climate Action Hub Learning Pathway.

Once you have enrolled go back to your dashboard and ‘start learning pathway‘, ‘view path’ to get started on the Climate Action Hub Learning Pathway which is an e-Learning series containing 12 short modules and access to the SBCC Carbon Tool where you can calculate your company’s carbon footprint, set a carbon reduction target and build your bespoke Carbon Reduction Plan.

4. Log in as a company account owner – carbon tool

Continue to work through the learning pathway, when you get to module 8 you will be taken to the SBCC Carbon Tool where you can calculate your company’s carbon footprint, set a carbon reduction target and build a Carbon Reduction Plan.

Follow the guidance on the SBCC Carbon Tool homepage and use the remaining learning pathway modules to support calculating your carbon footprint, setting of a carbon reduction target and building your Carbon Reduction Plan.

5. Log in as an individual – complete your own carbon literacy assessment

Now that you have signed up, log in and head to your dashboard and start your carbon learning journey:

  • Complete your Individual Carbon Literacy Assessment to understand your current level of knowledge on carbon and identify any gaps in your knowledge and direct you to the most relevant resources.

6. Log in as an individual – learning pathway

Then, head to the ‘My Courses’ section at the bottom of your dashboard and ‘view course catalogue’ to enrol in the Climate Action Hub Learning Pathway.

Once you have enrolled go back to your dashboard and ‘view activities’, ‘view path’ to get started on the Climate Action Hub Learning Pathway which is an e-Learning series containing 12 short modules.

The Climate Action Hub is a free-to-use learning management software that can help increase your business’s carbon literacy and equip you with the tools to baseline your emissions and develop a Carbon Reduction Plan.

The Climate Action Hub is a co-funded project between the SBCC and the Scottish Government developed in partnership with the Supply Chain Sustainability School and Zero Waste Scotland.
